FRANZ FERDINAND ANNOUNCE UK TOUR DATES

Franz Ferdinand have announced details of a UK tour in March 2009.

The dates follow the release their third album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, on January 26th.

 The 12-track album will be preceded by a single, Ulysses, on January 19th.

The full list of dates are as follows:

FEBRUARY
28th - Limerick - Dolans

MARCH
1st - Dublin - Olympia
4th - Glasgow - Barrowlands
6th - Manchester - Academy
8th - Birmingham - Academy
9th - London - Hammersmith Apollo

The band, currently at the start of a short U.S. tour, are also set to play two already sold-out low-key UK shows in the new year at London’s Heaven on 20th January and Edinburgh The Picture House on January 14th.

They will also be playing a string of shows in New Zealand & Australia over the new-year.

Yet another special Christmas show from one of our bands, and this time it's one of this years hottest new bands These New Puritans who will be playing on Thursday the 18th December, at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen.

Support for the show comes from No Bra, A Grave With No Name, and then special guest DJs including our very own Ross Allen, Joe Angular, Nasty McQuaid and Armin.

8pm - 1.30am, and tickets are £8

EUGENE MCGUINNESS PLAYS VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS SHOW

Some good news for those of you around London on Thursday 18th December, as the charming Eugene McGuinness will be playing a very special Christmas show at the newly refurbished East London drinking spot The Legion.

He is playing alongside Gold Teeth, Nich Harrison and Cosmo Jarvis. Doors are at 8pm and it's £6 in.

That's The Legion, 348 Old Street, Hoxton.

TRICKY ANNOUNCES HEADLINE NME AWARDS SHOWS FOR FEBRUARY 2009

After the release of Knowle West Boy and a mammoth nine week, nineteen country European tour which saw Tricky sell out the London Barbican before packing houses from Antwerp to Zurich, Tricky returns to the UK in the New Year.

We are very pleased to announce that the iconic British musician has been invited by NME to headline three of their Awards shows in February 2009. Tricky will perform at Shockwaves NME Awards shows in Manchester, Glasgow and finally at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on February 20th, in the lead up to the NME Awards which take place in the capital’s Brixton Academy on February 25th.

Dirty Projectors are scheduled to make an end of year appearance in NYC at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple on Thursday, December 11th. The show is a co-headline affair with Dan Deacon.
